Mr. John Harrison Jr.

Jack passed away after a lengthy illness on July 7, 2009. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Harrison. He is survived by his loving wife Joan of 46 years; his son Randy, his wife, Melodie and grandchildren Randy Jr. and Caroline of California; his daughter Michele Stoneman, her husband, Greg and grandchildren Matthew Smith, Paul, Michelle & Andrea of Virginia; daughter Denise Jacobus and her husband, John of New York; his aunt, Anne Shaw, his sister, Dorothy Constine, and several nieces and great nieces & nephews.
He was employed as a resident adjuster for Binghamton Insurance Claims Service for 12 years and for 23 years by Allstate. He was Chairman of the Binghamton Arbitration Board. He was an Army Veteran serving in Korea. He was a life member of VFW Binghamton Post 478, and he was also a member of the American Legion Post 1645. He donated over 10 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross.
He enjoyed skiing, hunting and golf. In his early years he was active in the social activities of St. Andrews and was an officer in the Men’s Council.

Funeral Information

Friends are invited to call Friday afternoon from 2-4pm or Friday evening from 7-9pm at Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect St, Binghamton, NY. A funeral mass will be offered at Parish of Saints John and Andrew in Binghamton, Saturday at 9:30am. Burial will be at Unadilla Center Cemetery, Unadilla, New York.
