Mrs. Joyce Lisick Gober

September 30, 1937 - October 02, 2008

Joyce Lisick Gober 71 fell asleep in the Lord on Thursday afternoon, October 2, 2008, at Lourdes Hospital.

She was predeceased by her parents; John and Susan (Halaburka) Lisick, two brothers; John Jr. and William Lisick, a sister; Margaret Timko.
She is survived by her son; Joseph S. Gober Jr.and Earl Newhart of Interlaken, three daughters; Joyce M. and Ronald L.Williams of Hampstead, MD, Jo Anne M. and Richard M. Webb of Kirkwood, Veronica S. Gober of Binghamton, six grandchildren; Brittany, Anthony, Dustin, Dylan, Adrian, and Adrianna, sister-in-law; Sally Lisick of Endwell, brother-in-law; Steven Timko of Binghamton and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of St. Michael’s Greek Catholic and a former member of St. Michael’s Recreation Board of Directors. She was a retired employee of the Binghamton School District.

She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, traveling to her son’s winery, Americana Vineyards, reading and crocheting.

Rev. Dutko will conduct a prayer service Monday 3pm at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect St. Binghamton where the family will receive friends Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm.

Funeral Information

A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by the Very Rev. Protopresbyter James Dutko on Tuesday 9:30am at St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church, 292 Clinton Street Binghamton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
