Beloved husband, father, “Papoo”, brother, & friend, Thomas H. Salmini, 62, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ambrose & Isabelle Salmini; brother, Paul Salmini; & father-in-law, Horatio Wood.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Patricia Salmini; mother-in-law, Leola Wood; two daughters, Courtney Salmini & Daniel Marcum, Danielle Salmini & Phillip Kostick; a son, Scott Salmini & Jessica Counts; two beloved, special grandchildren who were the apples of his eyes, Alexia & Jakob Sousouris; two brothers, James (Dorothy) Salmini & Eugene Salmini; two sisters, Rita (Glen) Weber & Margaret (Howard) Feiler; many nieces, nephews, cousins and two special dogs, Sadie & Rocky.
Thomas loved his family & their weekly get togethers for dinner, scratch off tickets, The New York Yankees, artwork from his grandson, watching “Roseanne” & “Court TV” with his granddaughter and his daughter’s macaroni salad.
He was a friend & father to everyone & anyone who needed him. His smile & enthusiasm will be with us forever. We love you Daddy & you will be forever in our hearts! He will forever be known for the “sweater vest”.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held Thursday 1pm at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton, with Betty Pomeroy, Chaplain at U.H.S., officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends noon until the time of the service at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home.
