Margaret “Peggy” Kadlec of Binghamton

Margaret “Peggy” Kadlec 84, fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Wilson Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Kadlec in 1999, her parents Charles and Katherine Sevak, four brothers including two infant brothers and John and Charles, three sisters, Anna, Helen and Irene.
She is survived by her daughter; Patricia Phelps of Binghamton, a son and daughter-in-law; the Very Rev. Father Thomas and Pani Linda Kadlec of Orchard Park, NY, five grandchildren; Kimberly and her husband Rev. Keith Wiebe of WV, Nanette and her husband Rev. Mark Fitch of PA, Jeremy Kadlec and his wife, Kris of MD, Jessica Kadlec of PA and Katherine Kadlec of MD, three great granddaughters; Lauryn, Mikayla and Danelle, two great grandsons; David and Jonah, several nieces, nephews and numerous special friends.
Peggy was an active member of St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church. She was a retired employee of Binghamton University, General Electric and ANSCO.
The family would like to thank Dr. Struck and Tina, Dr. Prasad and Jaqueline, the Emergency Room Staff at Wilson Hospital along with the volunteers at Meals On Wheels and all her special friends.

Funeral Information

A Divine Liturgy and funeral service will be concelebrated by her son, Very Rev. Father Thomas Kadlec, Very Rev. Protopresbyter James Dutko and other clergy on Friday 9:30am at St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church, 292 Clinton Street, Binghamton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 3-6pm at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street Binghamton.

Donations Information

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Peggy’s memory to St. Michael’s Altar Boys’ Fund.
