Mrs. Helene Evans Malenich

July 11, 1927 - May 19, 2010

Helene Evans Malenich 82 fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday evening, May 19, 2010 at her home.
She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-three years, John Malenich Jr. on December 26, 2009. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John R. and Darlene Malenich of Johnson City, a loving grandson, John R. Malenich Jr., and his significant other, Jessica Miller of Boulder, CO, two sisters, Mary Jane Vanderlip and Ramona Evans of Endwell, a sister-in-law, Irene Montague and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church. She was vice-president of the family business, Malenich & Son Plumbing and Heating for twenty years.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10 am at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton and 10:30am at St. Michael's Greek Catholic Church, 292 Clinton Street, Binghamton where a Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by the Very Rev. Protopresbyter James Dutko.Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Dutko will conduct a prayer service Monday 3pm at the funeral home where the family will recieve friends Monday 3-6pm.

In liew of flowers, contributions may be made in Helene's memory to either Our Lady of Lourdes Hospice Unit or to St. Michael's Church's Roof Fund.
